There is a LOT of stuff on the web Darryl - you either need to study some of the links Google will give you - like https://www.itjungle.com/2017/09/18/guru-consuming-rest-web-service-using-sql-get/ <https://www.itjungle.com/2017/09/18/guru-consuming-rest-web-service-using-sql-get/>

Or tell us more about the service. Does it need authentication, is it REST or SOAP or ....

You could also watch the Lunch & Learn Paul Tuohy and I did a while back "Consuming JSON - 2 Options - with RPG and/or SQL" which you can connect to via https://systemideveloper.com/pages/events/lunchLearn/ <https://systemideveloper.com/pages/events/lunchLearn/>

Or next week we have an in-depth workshop on consuming and providing web services from RPG which will cover some of this. Registration via https://systemideveloper.com/pages/events/workshops/ <https://systemideveloper.com/pages/events/workshops/>

This is a first for me and I need some help on where to start.
I have the details on the web service but I have not found a document
explaining what must be done to make SQL consume the service.
I have an example of the web service.
Do I need to predefine the fields in the web service or can I simply use
the * to return all values?

TIA, Darryl Freinkel.
