Nope, we have multiple DNS entries all the time. Been a few times when the DNS server has been down and this has helped. Hard to believe but it was like pulling teeth to get a DNS server in the data center where our Power systems reside. Apparently some decades ago someone said that your DNS server should be a dedicated box and not a VM so that was still considered holy writ. With multiples, etc, it's not really applicable anymore.

And CHGTCPDMN is how one flushes cache on IBM i.
