Just to be sure, In the section "Linking service tools user IDs to user profiles" the purpose is just to get some sst capabilities when using certain functions. (An example would have been nice.) And it has nothing to do with synchronizing passwords, right? And if you want to set a SST user's password you have to either go into sst and do it or use the following:
CHGSSTUSR REQUSRID(MYSSTUSR)
REQPWD(mysstpwd)
USRID(THEIRSSTID)
USERINFO(theirsstpwd)
