Does your version of IBM i have NSLOOKUP? Lookup the IP address and see if the right host name is returned. Also try nslookup from another device in your network.
Prompt CHGTCPDMN. Check the list of domain name servers is current. Even if it is correct press Enter to update it. This is how you flush dns cache on IBM i. Verify with your network people that the list of domain name servers are current.
