RE: send text msg to phone from IBM i

I looked into it briefly some years ago but it never came to fruition. I thought it would be a GREAT addition to our ERP for communicating with sales reps and customers.

As I recall, there were differences in the service delivery time and reliability with emailing texts versus direct send. Just a vague recollection but it seemed like using Twilio's service was a much better option than email. We were already using GoAnywhere for email and MFT so getting texting up and running would have been a no-brainer.

I’m thinking the cheapest route is to use Twilios’s carrier lookup API and send myself with email.

Anyone have any advice in this area from personal experience
