So do I, but being an ISV my emails are much more important than my texts
as most emails are support questions. Most texts are just friends/family.

It's really easy to set up alerts for specific email accounts on phones...
ignore personal but alert for accounts that are important. Many possible
solutions here.

But, if you want to use text because people find them more important, a
service is your best option.
