RE: send text msg to phone from IBM i

We send a message to an email distribution list that forwards to a predefined list that includes both email and cell phone numbers. But I do believe that the phone number includes phonenumber@xxxxxxxxxxxx type info.

I know you can send a txt msg with the SNDSMTPEMM command if you know the phone number's carrier...

Aside from calling a 3rd party web api, is there a way to send text messages from the IBM i to a phone number if you don't know the carrier?
