It may not be a complete dead end as there was an older version of Python that was ported to native IBM i - not sure if it is still available.

But it will be Pyhton3 and would need a lot of work probably.

Components are based on Python, so this is a dead-end for V4.

There are other free build tools out there but I've not used any of them. Relationships in IBM i that can affect the build can be complex and many of the commercial tools expend a lot of energy keeping track of it all.

Yes, indeed.

Not sure if the actual complexity is higher or lower compared to likewise applications on common systems. :-)
