If I'm connecting to a remote host from my office, it's pretty much a given that I'm connecting from the office IP address.

But from our cloud box, I'm not so certain that the IP address I use to Telnet in is necessarily the IP address another system would see.

And unfortunately, so far as I know, none of the customer boxes I routinely connect to are "wide open, Telnet from anywhere" (nor should they be, in this day and age!)

Pub400 is, of course, "wide open, Telnet from anywhere," but the only way I know of to see where a connection is coming from is via WRKTCPSTS, and ordinary users can't do a WRKTCPSTS on Pub400.

Any suggestions?
