IBM has been a *good coding partner* to the open source community and a *large
cash contributor* as well.
IBM has always played fair with the open source community. They "got it"
long before most other large organizations did. IBM never treated open
source as a threat, instead they have treated us as an asset.
That is one of the top 3 reasons I have been afflicting the IBM community
with my presence for Lo, these 30 years. I was in open source before I was
into IBM.

Yes, but that's the failure of the Open Source world to not charge for
their products. Not IBMs problem… ;-)
