Directory Services is ldap.
Entries we're seeing are
BN - Successful bind
UB - Successful unbind
CO - Create Object
We are using Security Verify Governance - Identity Manager. From it's
central location it created a user on this lpar by going through LDAP. The
CO was creating the user profile.
If I picked a bigger timespan I bet I could see where it deleted user
profiles, changed their passwords, etc
Hmm, apparently a password change is a simple BN.

Does anyone know which QAUDLVL value controls these QAUDJRN entries?
Code . . . . . . . . : T - Audit trail entry
Type . . . . . . . . : DI - Directory services

I don't see "Directory services" list on this IBM page, and there are
multiple DI entries.
