I think this might work in either:
CREATE OR *REPLACE* PROCEDURE rob.deleteme001 (
IN parameter1 *INTEGER*,
INOUT parameter2 *INTEGER*)
LANGUAGE SQL
BEGIN
SET parameter2 = *2* * parameter1;
END;
-- To Test
create or *replace* variable rob.deleteme001 *int*;
call rob.deleteme001(*int*(*1*), rob.deleteme001);
values rob.deleteme001;

Agreed on STRSQL - if it IS possible, it's not going to be obvious, seems
to me.

With ACS, I believe you need something to receive the value for an OUT
parameter - I would expect that to be a global variable - you use the
CREATE VARIABLE statement to make one you can use.

Have never done it, though - so this is just my sense of what it might be.

By "interactive" do you mean STRSQL? If so, then the answer is probably
not.

Hi,

Is it possible to use an OUT parameter in interactive SQL or am I limited
to using the CALL with only IN parameters ? If so how do I accomplish
this
?

Thanks
