Someone I know in the industry asked me this about his V10 HMC:Ctrl-Alt-F3 switched the browser view to a command line view. Do you know
After we were done with the OS install ... it rebooted to the GUI.
how to switch it back to the browser view?
Thats an old Linux feat. :-)
From a running Xserver, you can access virtual text consoles:
- when switching from a running Xserver (GUI) with Alt-Ctrl-Fx (x usually
being in the range 1..6)
- when switching between text consoles with just Alt-Fx,
- when switching back *to* the Xserver (which uses the next free console)
usually with just Alt-Fx.
The Xserver thus often runs on console 7 (Alt-F7 to switch back). You're
free to try other Alt-Fx keys to see it's somewhere else.
