Look at Python if you want a nice way to do SFTP downloads and uploads.

Couple of Python script examples on this example site that use pysftp:

Does anyone have a program to run SFTP on the IBMi?

I'd like to get SFTP running to download FixCentral PTF's.

I have a CLP that takes care of the password problem.
I need to figure out how to run the FTP commands.
