There are numerous ways to generate a program, with different debugging
options.
One of those options is CRTRPGMOD OPTION(*SRCSTMT). If you prompt that
command, and hit F1 in the OPTION parameter one you will see is:
*SRCSTMT
Statement numbers for debugging are generated using SEU sequence
numbers and source IDs as follows:
