IBM is seeing a memory pool being overloaded. So they have recommend to add more memory to that pool.

Do you have static pool associations?
Maybe this is somewhat naive, but… it might be worth to investigate setting QPFRADJ to 3, PAGING(*CALC), and probably reduce a historically grown tangle of many memory pools into less of those?
I admit, I don't have real world experience with current machines and real world load scenarios. But from what I've learned by reading some of the "performance tuning" books from decades ago, the whole concept of multiple memory pools stems from the fact that those early systems were almost always more or less severely memory ("disk cache") constrained. I take it that with current hardware, this is no longer the case?
