I respect this forum and it isn't the place for vendor promotions, but
watching this thread grow I feel compelled to say that there are some
long-time IBM i ISVs like us with alternative offerings. Open source
tools are another possibility. I realize many of you know that, but it's
disappointing IBM chose not to say it in their announcement letter. We
don't make headlines, but rest assured, we're still here,
privately-held, enhancing our software, answering questions, training
new users, supporting COMMON and regional user groups, etc.
This is a lousy turn of events for those who have invested resources in
DB2 Web Query. Fortunately, those with current DB2 Web Query SWMA have
some time to plan and evaluate their options. I hope we or one of our
competitors can minimize your pain and be helpful to you downstream.
