IBM afraid of breaking links? That’s like suggesting Jack the Ripper wanted to protect the virtue and sanctity of women.

Surely a business with the technical acumen of IBM would be able to scan their own source to find broken links and remove or correct them. Then again it’s highly likely the far east folks that maintain the sites can’t speak 99% of the languages the sites are set up for so they simply do not understand the problem.

Hi Rob

I don't recall that CAAC said anything there about breaking links. It does say that the Idea seems too broad and suggests that people submit Ideas for specific, more narrowly focused issues. I basically agree with the need, and for me it is related to what I think is missing for things like new functionality or setups in RSS.

IBM changed the "Ideas" site. The old (but not as old as the RFE site)
version is still there but even if you log in you cannot see the comments
and stuff.
Old site: https://ideas.ibm.com/
New site: https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/

Which I find freaking hilarious as I was trying to look up an idea I
submitted about documentation which the CAAC deems as dangerous as it might
break links! The CEAC thinks the CAAC is nuts and backs my suggestion.
