This sounds a lot like other performance complaints after a V7R5 upgrades
on this list. I doubt it has much to do with the source on the QSYS2
tables, since the system would need them all to give complete answers.
I’m doubtful that a conversion to all iASP or no iASP would make much
difference either.
I suggest you open a case with IBM.

Few months ago we added 10 spinning disks in our IBM 5030E. The main
purpose is to provide a separate disk pool for large, rarely used
and a staging area for creating SAVF's for nightly saves.instead
Of course we made a new pool on the SAN and we decided to use iAsp
of a normal Asp only because iAsp cannot spill into system Asp.need
The majority of basic users don't see the new iASP because they don't
it, on the contrary all the higher profiles use the iASP (viafunctions
INLASPGRP). For these profiles the problem I noticed is that all
that somehow use tables (or Sql functions) in QSYS2 have become slower.and
Checking how they are executed it is quite clear that both the programs
tables used are from the iASP rather than the system ASP.list
So my questions are:
- If instead of using an iASP I had used a normal ASP would the problem
still occur?
- Could transforming the iASP into a normal ASP extend the problem to all
other users of the system?
The operating system is version 7.5 with recent ptfs.
