UNIX native line ending is LF only. Transfer goes to a UNIX server, and the text mode doing translation from EBCDIC to ASCII also translates to the correct line ending for UNIX. Nothing wrong on your side.

I'd declare this to the problem of the customer. There are multiple ways to add a CR at end of line of the transferred file on UNIX, such as

sed 's/$/\r/' < infile > outfile

He can "fix" this easily on his server.
