still printing a lot, black & white, with *afpds spools with some
barcoding. We stick to HP office printers that support pcl 6 with built in
network cards, never using printers that require a Win OS to communicate.
HP402dn is a common one for workstation users, with real HP ink. While
paper use has dropped, paperless (or near) attempts failed badly for the
workflow. There are a couple lexmark printers with ipds cards for large job
printing with the requirements afpds could not do.

Does anyone print reports anymore? Can you recommend some brands /
models that work well using a *DEVD with an IP address / hosts entry?

The official page from IBM for printers:

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/information-printers-various-manufacturers

points to pages that are quite dated (4+ years since the last update.)
Is there any updated lists?
