Oh, and on the new lpar, it does not have the PASE subdirectory either.
there is no /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/PASE directory just points to acreate
nonexistent link. Therefore you might pass CHKPRDOPT if you simply
ADDLNK OBJ('/inagoddadavidababy') NEWLNK('/QOpenSys/usr/lib/libXpm.a')
Apparently there is a lot of messed up stuff in option 33 that IBM has vs
cleaning up the chkprdopt.
Yes, finally not an authority issue on PUB400 as well, with probably the
same setup as your new LPAR. However, I cannot see any reference to
/QIBM/ProdData/OS400/PASE directory removal at 7.5 install. There is
nothing in Memo to users.

Apparently it varies based on the individual system, even if they are
notrunning IBM i 7.5
On the old lpars, which migrated from ancient versions of OS/400 it is
--a symbolic link
On the new lpar which started from 7.5 it is a symbolic link pointing
to /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/PASE/lib/libXpm.a
I bet this is fun stuff for IBM to debug.
