Apparently it's a thing now to change your IP address on a periodic basis
to "avoid the chance client systems connecting to the static IP address are
tracked and targeted". So people like IBM Support are changing their IP
addresses on a periodic basis.
So if you use host table entries instead of DNS to get to IBM Support (or
other sites which adopt this strategy) you're shooting yourself in the foot.
As a side note, if your firewall only allows your system to connect to
certain IP addresses this periodic switching is going to play hell with
that.
