The JVM depends.
From RDi: 1.8.0_351
From ACS: 23 from Oracle
From double-clicking SQL file: 23 from Oracle

I'm not sure how the JVM would affect RSS automatically connecting.

I've found a workaround that I can live with. I kept my scripts as TXT
files, so they were easier to edit in Notepad. This goes back to before I
realized I could drag-n-drop. I'd edit in Notepad and copy-and-paste into
RSS. I discovered that while I can longer no drag-n-drop TXT files, SQL
files will work. Simply changing them to SQL should fix me up. Woo-hoo!

What version of Java is your ACS using? Because of the Oracle debacle,
we've been forced to use Eclipse Adoptium 17.0.9 in our organization, and
it appears to have a deleterious effect on ACS 1.1.9.5. I've never tried
the drag-n-drop that you've described, but I have seen that getting the
Open (script) File dialog in RSS takes forever. Also, when I use multi-tab
5250 sessions and open too many sessions, ACS will completely crash all its
windows, including RSS, Printer Output, etc.

IBM support recommends that I switch to IBM OpenJ9's Java 11. I am
waiting for my request to be approved by our software review board, so I
can't comment whether that will fix things.
