I opened a case with IBM:

The SQL Command - SYSTOOLS.GENERATE_SPREADSHEET – Gives us message of: MSGSY0271 - No password (*NONE) associated with the user profile

This is expected in our environment, because we use EIM/Kerberos and most profiles do not have passwords.

Why is a password required for this function? It does not appear that the user has to know the password, the profile just can't have Password is *NONE : *YES

V7R5
CUMULATIVE PTF PACKAGE C4151750
SF99950 - Level 7

IBM’s response was: This has been checked with development and ACS and it will not work with Kerberos when ran on the IBM i at this time.

To go back to my original question: Why does the profile HAVE to have a password if the password does not need to be known or entered?
I feel like this is opening a huge security hole that we had purposely closed.
