Your fTP example here makes sense - it does what I expect.

A question - are these single-field text files? That is, is the field's data type an A in DDS? And what is the transfer type you are using? Is it BINARY or EBCDIC? Or is it ASCII1? I beieve ASCII will not work for files in the QLIB system.

I don't know anything about SFTP, someone else will have to help with that.
