Oh, and btw, if you need to stream the uncompressed data via standard out, it's gzip -dc myfile.gz ... the -c flag makes it go to stdout.

You on't need to use 7zip, use gzip. It's there in PASE. yum install gzip.

gzip -d myfile.gz
