Just to clarify, I think Rob is talking about discover (e.g. WRKLNK
'/QNTC/*'), in other words listing shares. Slow as molasses. Don't do it.

Actually using QNTC has always worked fine for me (e.g. accessing files by
UNC, listing dir contents). I've done a ton of it, mostly small files (~
10 KB) in synchronous apps.
