Like any conference, PLANNING is what's important. Print out the grid
and mark your primary and secondary choices of sessions as sometimes
sessions get canceled.

Download all the handouts. Even if you don't attend the session there's
very valuable info in the handouts.

Don't be afraid to ask dumb questions, Chances are Paul's already asked
them at least once already... :) :) :)

Walk the venu the day before so you get familiar with it and don't
wander around like a lost sheep during the conference.

Find out when there's food in the expo as conference eats can be costly.

Attend CUDS, if they still have it.

Howdy. I had a request from a former colleague, who will be attending his
first conference ever. Here is the question he posed to me:

"Based on your experience, what do you recommend so I can make the most of
this opportunity and experience?"

Given that I haven't attended since 2006, and that I have been retired for 6
years, I told him that I'd ask you folks.

Here is his current job description:

"iSeries systems Administrator, including ownership of all the hardware for
it (Power system, storage, San switches, etc). Also, I am responsible for
the Storage Service Area, which involves all the storage hardware in the
company (Dell, NetApp, V7K, etc)

All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
