Not sure if you actually read the link I dropped the other day in regards to NFS setup.

But if not I suggest you read it.

It should answer most of your setup questions. There are nuances with Windows and with file copying as well.

We used these techniques for years at RJS for IBMi to NAS storage.

Latest on chapter nnn of NFS MOUNT blues series:

The Win domain admin (after consulting with CHATGPT) asked for the MOUNT to be made by a user having UID = 1000 and GID=1000 (for test purposes) So I created a dummy usrprf with UID = 1000 and GID=1000 and used it to do the MOUNT.

Same result - files are created locked.
