Hello Vern,

I had to look back at Jon's posts in this thread - to check what he really said. He never mentioned specific compilers - you added to his statement by saying "Not RPG, not C." In fact, in one case he said "...baler twine, chewing gum and Krazy Glue..."

Yes, that's a recent post of his. Weeks, months ago, when Rob Behrend (?) brought up the topic of SDA not being a part of 7.6 anymore there was another, extensive discussion where Jon (?) explained the reasoning in more detail. Question marks, because I'm not 100% sure about who said it.

He does imply that SDA was on S/38 - "As to SMTP - I really doubt that the underlying code is as bad as SDA. It wasn't around on S/38 was it?"

I just ask that we be careful not to add to what others say - I'll try my best in that attempt, also.

Of sourse. Sorry for the misunderstanding. As you can see, I'm referring to a post being a good deal older.

As to the subject, I use the Screen Designer all the time - I find it works very well. I can do everything I did in SDA pretty easily.

To each, his own. :-)

:wq! PoC
