You'll need to set a JVM envvar before starting the JVM:
-Xmx00000M;
Where the zeroes represent the memory in MB.

The envvar is QIBM_RPG_JAVA_PROPERTIES.

Check out the InfoCenter for more details.

I am using POI to create a spreadsheet. This is a large spreadsheet, about

The job crashes with this message in the joblog.

Is it possible to increase the heap space when running POI? I'd like to
increase it just for this job, if possible. The program uses
ss_begin_object_group with a parameter value of 3,000,000 when it
starts to create the spreadsheet.

No matter how much this parameter value increases, I still get the crash
at the approximate same row.

We're running POI 3.12

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Doug
