Hi Joe,

* If you are running IBM i/i5OS V5R4 or newer you can duptap those tapes to a Tape Image Catalog and upload to any system or S3 bucket.
* The Tape Image Catalog content can be duplicated from any type of cartridge your system supports.
* If you are looking for a more "universal format", you can save the data to disk, then to SAVE FILES or use SAV* commands to send the information to DVDs/CDs with Optical Image Catalog and UDF media.
* I cannot see a clear process to translate from IBM i SL Tapes to AWSTAPE format, because you cannot even attach an SL tape drive to a PC, and IBM i does not support AWSTAPE format nor tools.
