I was unaware of that capability of specifying a constant field for more than one display size, so I tried it with DDS on pub400.com. I entered code similar to what is shown. I am aware that DSPSIZ is a file-level keyword, and the two definitions for the constant are within a record format.
CRTDSPF ended in error, CPD7596, severity 30, "Constant field has no valid keywords." In the source listing, the CPD7596 error is beneath the second line (the one that has just the line and position).
pub400.com is at V7R5. The online IBM documentation going back to V7R1 shows the same example.
I would be interested to know if anybody has successfully used this feature.
