Hi Seán

I suggest looking into Brad Stone's email tools - www.bvstools.com. I understand that this is not a direct answer to your question. However, using it eliminated email issues at a previous employer. They are very reliable and not overly costly.

Hello all,

Maybe somebody has done this before ..

The company I work for will be shutting down their Exchange Server soon so I need to relay
Emails from the as400 to an external server using USER and PASSWORT for authentication.

I used
ADDSMTPLE TYPE(*HOSTAUTH)
HOST(mail.example.com)
USRID(your_username)
PASSWORD(your_password)
to add the required details and restarted my SMTP server.

When I send a test email with SNDSMTPEMM I get a positive response that the email was successfully sent but sadly no email ever arrives at its destination..

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Or is it even possible ??

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards / Bien à vous,
