MR. X and Y:
I think of the following when you post.
The species that the Borg could not defeat, and were themselves being
systematically wiped out by, was Species 8472. The Borg designated them by
this number because they were previously unknown to the Collective.
Key facts about Species 8472:
- Immune to Assimilation: Their unique biology and triple-helix DNA
structure made them impossible for Borg nanoprobes to assimilate.
- Superior Technology: They possessed highly advanced organic technology
and bio-ships that were immensely powerful, with single vessels capable
of
destroying a Borg cube in one or two shots.
- Origin: They originated from a dimension known as fluidic space.
- Existential Threat: Species 8472 was the first and only species to
offer "true resistance" to the Borg and were on the verge of
annihilating
them in a four-month war, forcing the Borg to seek an alliance with the
USS
*Voyager* crew to survive.
- Borg Fear: Seven of Nine stated that the Borg feared Species 8472 and
considered them the "apex of biological evolution".

My customers have facilities across multiple time zones. I define everyyour
remote device (i.e., no QPADEVxxxx) and include a location code, which
could then be tied to a time zone. DDS's *DATE and *TIME are system
values, so you'll have to add code to your green-screen programs to
reference the device's location if you want the local date and time on
display. All my timestamps are system time.smarter
It's very surprising IBM ignored time zones for such a long time--SQL
forced it. It's still a surprise that IBM hasn't added time zone/time
offset support into the LOCALE option. It's a fool's errand to think IBM
would do anything to DDS at this time. Like it or not, HTML is way
than DDS.show
Before I'd go down the path of changing display files and programs to
local dates and times, I'd look at converting the app to a browser-basedfor a
solution.
