subject: Service processor firmware source

It came to my attention recently that we're running on the permanent copy
of firmware.

I can change the source to the temporary copy using the control panel, but
I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can set the source to 'T' and then set the
system to IPL at a later time?

Or do I have to change the setting and immediately IPL?

Thanks,

Just to report back:
I finally pried the answer out of IBM. It's available to change the firmware load source and IPL later. The service representative's concern was " There is no way of predicting if there may be a potential error if you wait." I responded that that is always the case when applying PTFs delayed. I made the change and set our system to IPL that night. Everything went fine.

Thanks,
