I've managed to create a basic small program on the AS/400 (forgive. IBMi)
that has most of the required functionalities .
Since the logging is done natively, I plan to put some auto
re-send process to be run from the job scheduler.

You can always do a BCC to an email address from which you can later
retrieve the messages and do any processing you need.
