subject: Identifying SPD hardware "books" in an old 9406-500

Hello,

I'm currently remote-assisting a friend in Australia with getting a model 500 assessed, and back on track ? to working condition. From a sticker inside the case, this apparently was a former model 300 having been RISC upgraded.

We're currently scratching our heads over two SPD "books" with the feature codes #2677, and one #6051. Can't find those FCs in any System Builder PDFs of that era, and online sources are either possibly misleading (#2677) or outright unavailable (#6051).

Do these FCs ring a bell for someone? Thanks!

Hey Patrik!

This is kind of a dumb question do you have pics of the FC label(s) and/or the port configurations on the cards? I don't know either of those numbers but they're both "close" to real and relatively common cards - 6501 is a common magnetic media controller and 2627 is a comm adapter that would hold those small IOA cards in it. Both of those would be right for a -300 or a -500.

Joe
