I have heard about that.

Not just the system unit but also the external disk expansion, tape device, etc. etc.

Disks — especially with high RPM count — are power hungry. Air certainly has friction. :-)

The PDU that came in the cabinet was also an electrically hungry beast.

How can a Power Distribution Unit itself be "power hungry"?
