That is a good example to help people wrap their heads round usage. But I want to point out that greenfield development is a lower usage activity from an AI token standpoint.

In your case, the input was mostly just the definitions of the tables and the rest of the usage was output of the new programs.

For refactoring and enhancements, there will be more usage of Bob coins, tokens, whatever unit your model measures. This is because of extra inputs. It needs the code to be changed, possibly other code that is referenced. It needs information on all dependencies. Those inputs are not free.

I have a monthly subscription that’s $60/month. Does most of what I want it to do. Created an entire application from about 10 tables, including subfiles to maintain, service programs to manage, etc. cost about 1/3 of my coins for the month.

I’d say it’s inexpensive for most folks.
