that Wall started on Perl in the early 1980's and here it is 35 years
later. They build
a sort of cocoon around themselves and it's woven of rationalizations about
why their
approach is worth most of their waking hours for their entire professional
lives, and it's
glued onto them by the adulationof their disciples.

Chuck Moore also comes to mind, among others.
