Folks:
This is just a heads-up ... there are going to be some major changes
coming to midrange.com lists very soon.
At a high level, I'm going to be moving the list server from a machine
hosted in my basement to an amazon cloud server.
Many of the existing functionality has already been moved to amazon
cloud servers... the wiki, archive web server, & javadoc web server.
Everything should continue to operate as it did before ... with a few
notable exceptions.
1. The email domain you send posts to will be changing. The new domain
will be lists.midrange.com. So if you want to post to midrange-l, you
would send it to midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx instead of
midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx.
2. I will setup appropriate forwarding so emails sent to the old address
will be forwarded. I'm unsure how long those forwards will remain in
place. At least a number of months.
3. List email will come from 'listmail.midrange.com' with IP
35.153.110.174. If you have setup whitelists on your mail server, they
will need to be adjusted. Email will continue to be signed with DKIM.
I'm planning on implementing the changes over the Xmas holiday. During
that time email to the lists will certainly be delayed if not bounced back.
