I have to apologize. I was jumping the gun!! I had to go back to how I did
it:

The first part by: "yum install nginx" was correct however, I
struggled with the wsgi part and ended up with a reverse proxy into
gunicorn. Simply ssh into your IBM i and install that with "pip3 install
gunicorn"

So this is what we do on "IBM i" . It is so easy and it works great !!

and just works. uWSGI might be more performant based on some benchmarks
I've seen, but so far I've seen no complaints about Gunicorn
performance.

WSGI is Pythons version of CGI or fastCGI. I will suggest you try
NGINX
on
your IBM i . It is as easy as: yum install nginx
