Subject: [IBMiOSS] Replacing Ryver for IBMiOSS

Looks like Ryver decided to pull the rug and disable the IBMiOSS
community's Ryver community. That sucks, since it had a lot of good
people and good conversations. There's a few other places (including
this one) where IBM i OSS people gather, but sometimes, you want that
asynchronous chat. It would be infeasible to pay for Ryver considering
the pricing structure.

I've talked to some people in the community, and after evaluating the
options in the space, we've decided to try Zulip because:

- It's got a better quality UI and app than Ryver.
- It's free and open source. Hard to pull the rug there.
- It makes SSO with i.e. GitHub easier. Should be easier to join.
- It has publicly accessibly channels w/o signin. Should be searchable
on Google et al, which is a big problem with alternatives.
- It has a threading model that makes it easier to pick apart different
conversations, more so than the Slack/Discord model.

You can join it at https://chat.ibmioss.org/<https://chat.ibmioss.org/> - let me know how it works
for you. (It's a new domain too, so it might end up in your junk/spam
email. Check there if you don't get the registration messages...)

Liam's already announced it on his LinkedIn as well, so thanks there!
