Wouldn't be too hard to support the JT400 stuff I imagine, but then Java becomes a hard requirement to use VS Code with IBM i.

Java is being used somewhat already with the debugging.

It would be interesting to see the Mapepire API stuff because a bigger part of the client. Then you could eliminate the SSH requirements.

RDi is Java and integrates with JT400. That isn't much of an option with VSCode, so SSH it is.
