One of the PC trade mags had a tip on which file you should save off that has
this info in. This is mostly a concern if you dual boot/install your PC. You
can install once and configure it how you want it. Register with Microsoft.
Save off this file. Do the second install to a different bootable partition.
Configure it the way you want. Then copy the saved file into place. This way
you don't have to register with MS the second install on the same PC. If anybody
is interested in this tip, let me know and I will dig it up.

I usually dual boot/install my PC so that I have a clean work partition and a
second 'play' one that I can mess with and install test software on. This way I
don't have to worry about mucking up the important main partition.
