If David did a back up to CD (which I did everytime I used Quicken), would the backup file be encrypted or could he have used that on a PC without the same certificate? Just mildly curious.

I've been using GnuCash for about 7 months. No certificate problems but then again it isn't encrypted either. Not even an option as far as I know.

Especially since Eudora is available on other platforms.  Heck,
it is what I use on my Palm Smart Phone!
