I have a feeling that it's Mcaffee Antivirus.  It's running 2 or 3
services, and they seem to come to life more times than most others.  I
just haven't been able to do a ctl-alt-del quick enough to see what process
is eating me up when it happens.

I'll let you know if I find it.
