David and all who answered, THANKS, you are right: as sugested by Bill, Mike and others I just took the chance and tried it, and YES, it does the complete install and overlays IE5 with the full IE6 version.

IE 6 SP1 is the entire product ... IE doesn't install in parts ... only as a whole.
